I THOUGHT I'D SHARE A PICTURE OF MY FIRST FULL SIZE QUILT. IT WAS VERY SIMPLE AND AFTER MAKING IT FOR MY DAUGHTER ANA... I DIDN'T THINK I'D EVER SEW AGAIN. YES, I HAD A VERY HARD TIME WITH IT. BUT I DID DECIDED TO TRY ANOTHER QUILT AND I'M GLAD I DID CAUSE I LOVE TO QUILT!!!

...AND MR. HARVEY WHEN HE WAS STILL A PUPPY. HE LOOKS SO CUTE.

Good Morning !! Rise and shine and give GOD the glory for this is the day He hath made !!!!

I just finished reading a post from Sugar Pie FarmHouse and it so encouraged me ( the title of the post is Down Home Goodness Comin' Right Up) . Thanks so much Aunt Ruthie for the reminder to be a friend to myself and start each day in prayer and time with GOD!!

Well, I've seemed to have misplaced my camera cord and I am unable to download, or is it up load, new pictures. So I thought I would share pictures of three quilts I made last year. The first one I made was for a small group fair at our church and I used really bright colors. This one was made in two days and is not the greatest job, but I needed it quick. There was a contest for the best decorated table and we could win a pizza party for the whole group. I had planed on using the green quilt but decided it wasn't happy enough so I put it aside and started over. The green quilt I finished at the quilting group. I used patterns from a book I found at a used book store, Lap Quilting with Georgia Bonesteel. This is the first one I finished, I do love how colorful it is. Boy it is a bad job, I'm kind of embarrassed.

The next one was the green quilt I was talking about earlier, I call it the Andy Griffith quilt because the greens in it reminds me of the later episodes of the show. I gave this one to my older daughter for Christmas. Here it is in the quilt frame just getting started. ...and here it is all finished up !!

Don't you just love looking back at the quilts you've made ( even the bad one's) and blessed people with !! It makes me happy

Here's the last one and I call it "Christmas explosion," I thought it was a bit busy but my younger daughter actually liked this one better. I'm about to tackle putting it in the frame to quilt.

The puppy in the picture is Jingle bells. She's just waiting for me to put the quilt down so she can take a nap. All our dog's think each quilt is made just for them. They're so silly.

A LITTLE BIT OF QUILTING GOODNESS

Well my goodness it's been awhile !! To make a really long story very short my husband and I are now living in Texas with my daughter. The economy hasn't been good to us. I'm loving' the weather here ! Having lived in Arizona for twenty plus years I've forgotten what fall and winter are like. I am missing our church and the quilting group that I held at my house. I loved seeing what each person was working on and working together to make quilts to donate. But I do get to see my daughter everyday and I sure did miss her, and my younger daughter is back form Germany !!

IN EVERY TROUBLE THERE REALLY IS A BLESSING !!

This is one of the quilts we made as a group for a ministry we have at church called covering the homeless. I loved that so many hands were involved in making it. The dog is my daughters and her name (the puppy) is jingle bells she just can't wait to sleep on the quilt. Our puppy's think every quilt that's made is just for them.

I am a scrappy quilter and very frugal in these tough times, so I thought what better way to use up scraps. A baby rag quilt ! I sewed the scraps together randomly then ragged it, I just love the way it came out. A young teen mother was blessed with this quilt.

MY DAY

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME !!!

A day filled with balloons and a cake on a card, thimbles and fabric from Germany. Special calls from daughters to make my day and dinner at Chipotle. A home made card from my husband, the day to spend reading. HOORAY !!!

RAINY DAY

Today was suppose to be the BIG GARAGE SALE, but alas it has rained. It started last night and lasted most of the night with a chance of showers all day. It was raining this morning at 5;30am when I was going to set up. Looks like I'll have to wait till next weekend. Maybe tomorrow, I'll have to see what it looks like in the morning. So far my day has been spent learning new things about blogging, boy is there a lot to learn.

I've started my rainy day meal, Lima beans and hamhock. YUM, YUM. My mouth is watering already!!

Well I'm of to work an a couple quilting projects I need to get finished up. I'll share pictures when there done. HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!!!! SUNBONNET SARA

QUILTS MADE FOR DONATION

This is a test. I've been having trouble with my pictures being side ways. I think I have it fugured out, so I'd like to share some of the baby quilts I've make to donate. These will be going to a Young Lifes camp here in Arizona. Hope you enjoy!! Sunbonnet Sara.

QUIET SUNDAY

Well...I am still new at this and I believe I just published a post and it is blank. Not sure what I did. I had a quiet Sunday talked to both my daughter's on the phone and will be looking for the goodness my daughter in Germany is sending. OK shes just like me, a meter of fabric and a thimble, never could keep a secret. But I don't know what they look like. How exciting a package in the mail !!!!!!!!!!! And as always church was great and spending time in worship with the LORD was refreshing. May GOD Bless your week !!!

WELCOME TO MYY BLOG

Well here I am writing my first blog entry on my first ever blog. I'm so excited about this endeavor.I've read so many different blogs and I just love them all. I love seeing and hearing all that is happening in your life's.The first blog that I read was sewchic. I was so inspired by the projects that Jessica made I could hardly wait to get started. I mostly quilt but hope to start making knit tops soon.About a month ago I decided I wanted to make each of my daughters something for Easter so I decided to make wall hangings and a table runner.
